Not for the first time, Brnine swears Nautis has mind-reading powers that she uses for the sole purpose of irritating them. Not only does their phone not stop pinging, it becomes even louder and more erratic. Other students are starting to look over at them and snicker.
Interestingly, the phone alert coming from the cabinet also seems to be growing louder, faster, and altogether more annoying. Some battery alert.
They look back at Natalia and let their eyes narrow, just a little bit. "Well, I'm going to step out for a second and see who's trying to get a hold of me. Why don't you take that opportunity to see to your...battery?"
