Mod HMD & December schedule announcement
Thank you everyone once again for joining my little game, and I hope you've enjoyed your time in the game so far! Since we've hit the six month anniversary since the game opened, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask for any feedback you might have for me as a mod.
If there was anything that you felt didn't work so well for your character, or you'd like to see done differently in future events, please let me know. Likewise, if there was anything you really liked and DEFINITELY want to see more of, let me know about that too! My number one job here is facilitating a good time for everyone and I'd like to run my game in a way that provides maximum fun.
The second half of this post is an important announcement: the mod team will be taking December off from all things mod. This means that there will be no event or missions in December. There will be a game update at the start of the month as usual, but that game update will span the entirety of August II. Consider this a breather episode where nothing super exciting happens in Chalra City for a couple of weeks.
December is also just a generally busy time for people, so AC for December will be check-in only. You do still have to post to your AC thread for the month to check in, but you don't need to submit any proofs.
In addition to the above, the mod team will not be processing applications, rewards purchases, or any other mod requests submitted in December until January. I'll still be around to answer questions as needed, but I'll be using this time to catch up on some way overdue general game upkeep and do some longer-term story planning.

One: I am not as long-time as some of the other players, it still feels like I just got here!
Two: it's hard to pick any one thing to talk about?!
Like. As I'm getting more and more comfy in the game, I think the only thing that really causes me any grief at ALL is the balance of trying to pace myself vs not having "enough" to do. Which is partially a me problem, but I'm definitely starting to realise I need to find more ways to get Dirk DOING more.
Which has nothing to do with your mod work in the game!!!!
Okay, but. I am REALLy really loving getting to thread out the fight with Shellustria (I never get to thread combat and I LOVE it), and I love that I can let Dirk loose and do his thing and there hasn't been a point where I'm "forced" to kneecap him for the scene or the goal. Like, you broadly trust us to be going along with things! That's amazing! It's fun!
I mentioned this mostly because early on I was really unsure about... taking the reins on things like magic and so on, which probably showed in the capture mission with Mutsumi, but once I realised that no, I'm not going to "overstep," I realised I can just DO shit and it's been GREAT. So the vibe of the game has been immaculate.
Also! I am REALLY into these NPCs so far. (Including York, but also Nautis and the Harbingers....)
I can't wait to develop Dirk's opinions on them more. I hope to get more chances for Dirk to engage with them soon, I'm deeply invested in this now. Shellustria / Dirk beef has begun.
Also, I really like the mix of sign-ups we get. There's plenty of ways to participate that don't necessarily require big logs, but do give us material to play with (like the clean-up/repairs, Maomao's gardening, etc) AND there's more "stakes-y" stuff and we aren't asked to choose between those unless we want to. I'm devastated I missed the mystery sign-ups, so I hope you do THAT again.
That's really all I have! I think you're doing a great job, and as a player I'm basically frolicking in a field of deeply questionable flowers, blowing bubbles and giggling. I'm excited for all these THINGS that are developing and I really look forward to the meatier plot reveals.
As a mod of other games, I mostly don't want you to burn yourself out!
