If there’s a specific role that someone could fill for your character or vice versa, this is a great place to discuss those details.

LOVE ALL OF THIS now I want to hear a little more about their past life because I'm intrigued and I LOVE that one of the cast was in the Oracle in their past life.

My main question is, did the nature of the disastrous prophecy only affect them, or did it have implications for other people? It's fine if you haven't decided what the specific prophecy was, but I'm curious about how many people encountered misfortune as a result of Hope not sharing the prophecy.

ohhh, that's an excellent question. i haven't put too much thought into the specifics of what they saw yet, but i was intending for it to be something that had implications for other people, too—that's the only way that their guilt really makes sense in my head. if what they saw had direct implications to other people in the game right now, all the better, honestly.

We discussed this elsewhere, but for the sake of reference: we determined that the prophecy ignored by past life Hope also foretold the horrible tragedy that befell past life Mutsumi and Mortis's Constellation, and that Hope may have misinterpreted how bad it was/who it was going to affect. I think it's worth examining too how the Oracle higher ups would have interpreted this prophecy as it relates to MutsuMortis's Constellation, and whether or not things were actually supposed to play out like this, or if the prophecy would have been "correctly" interpreted in a way that would have allowed them to mitigate the Tragedy.

Really fun when your state religion does a lot of "interpreting", huh!
